Viagra Connect is an erectile dysfunction (ED) medication. It increases blood flow to the penis to help a man get an erection. It helps men with ED achieve and maintain an erection that is firm enough for sexual activity.

Viagra Connect is used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence). This is when a man cannot get, or keep a hard, erect penis suitable for sexual activity.

Viagra Connect contains sildenafil, which belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It works by helping to widen the blood vessels in the penis to help a stronger and longer lasting erection.

Viagra Connect should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to sildenafil or any other PDE5 inhibitors. For further information, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Viagra Connect is not recommended for use in patients who have a severe heart or liver problem, who are pregnant or trying to become pregnant, taking medicines called nitrates or "poppers" (such as amyl nitrate and butyl nitrate), have low blood pressure or are breastfeeding. Viagra Connect should not be taken by individuals who are taking warfarin (Coumadin, Jantoven) or being treated for blood-related disorders. Viagra Connect may rarely cause a severe stroke or heart attack.

This medicine is not indicated for use in individuals under 18 years of age.

This medicine is not recommended for use in those who are taking medicines called "poppers" (such as amyl nitrate and butyl nitrate) or " antidepressants" ( such as selegiline and omeprazole).

Swallow the medicine with a full glass of water after eating to ensure you get rid of the medicine easily.

If a medicine contains lactose, you should not take this medicine.

This medicine can be broken in half and you should drink a whole glass of water (at least of watery fluids) when taking this medicine.

If your erection lasts for more than 4 hours, seek immediate medical attention.

• You have a liver problem
• You have low blood pressure (below 90/50 mmHg) which can cause symptoms such as tiredness, dizziness, light-headedness, feeling sick, clammy skin, depression, loss of consciousness, or blurry vision
• Loss of vision has occurred before because of nerve damage in the eyes, such as non-arteritic anterior ischaemic optic neuropathy (NAION); or have a rare inherited eye disease, such as retinitis pigmentosa
• You have a deformed penis
• You are a woman
• You are under 18 years of age
• You are allergic to sildenafil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
